Why Red on Yellow?

I have chosen to publish this blog with red text on a yellow background. In doing this , I have followed the lead of the curriculum publisher for the literacy ministry that I head up.

It turns out that, while reading usually occurs as a left brain function, the red-on-yellow color scheme forges a pathway to the right side of the brain. In teaching reading, this recruits more of the brain into the learning process, which helps learning disabled people to master reading.

My purpose in using that color scheme here lies in my desire to push the principles I write about beyond the boundaries of mere cognitive perception into fuller realms of apprehension by an appeal to multiple aspects of your understanding.
